Lake El Salto | Accommodations | Daily Schedule
Lake El Salto, located about 50 miles north of the seaside resort of Mazatlan in the heart of the rugged Sierra Madre mountain range, is Mexico’s most popular Trophy Largemouth Bass fishing lake. It is one of the very best lakes for largemouth bass fishing in the world. El Salto was stocked with the Florida largemouth bass strain about 20 years ago. With a long growing season, warm water and plenty of forage for the bass to eat, they have grown big and are very aggressive. Spanning some 24,000 acres, the lake is about 20 miles from the coast and approximately 550 feet above sea level, and was formed by the damming of the Elota River. The water is very clear and the lake has a maximum depth of about 140 feet. The scenery at this lake is absolutely stunning. The upper end of the lake has hundreds of points loaded with flooded trees and brush. It also has the flooded remains of two towns and a pair of ancient cemeteries as well as shallow flats. The lower end provides steep rocky banks and points with ample flooded trees.
If you check the prices for our 1st class service and accommodations you will find us about $600.00 per person cheaper than most of our Mexico competitors. All of this great service and more fishing time with no long rides to and from the lake twice a day, make this an outstanding Mexico Bass Fishing package. |
